HP's Pavilion family Refreshes Pavilion dv4, Envy 14 Laptops

HP has upgraded its Envy 14 consumer segment laptops with new Intel Sandy Bridge processor. Also, HP's Pavilion family gets new dv4 model. Reflecting the HP MUSE (Materials, Usability, Sensory appeal and Experiences) design philosophy, both 14-inch display bearing laptops feature HP CoolSense technology that offers smart cooling to the laptops. Also, a redesign Mini 210 netbook with Beats Audio joins HP's line-up.

New additions to the HP notebook line-up bring a hardware bump that includes Intel Core i5 and Core i3 based models. Imprint finish bearing Pavilion dv4 features 14-inch HD LED BrightView screen. This laptop will be available in Expresso Black and Pacific Blue colors. HP Envy 14 will house Intel Sandy Bridge family of Core i5 or Core i3 microprocessor. Bearing a 14.5-inch HD BrightView Infinity LED display, this Envy 14 laptop will have HP imagepad with image sensor technology for advanced gesture support.

HP has also redesigned the Mini 210 netbook that will measure less than an inch, weigh under 3 pounds and offer 9.5 hours of battery life. HP has added QuickWeb 3.0 that brings along customizable widget dashboard and can connect to web quickly. Basically, QuickWeb 3.0 is like a one stop interface that will let users check their Twitter updates, Facebook posts and talk to friends on Skype.

Spice Mi 410 smartphone to be Launched in June

Spice Mi 410 smartphone



Spice mobile plans to launch its latest smartphone - Spice Mi 410 - in the first week of June this year, according to a report on The Mobile Indian. This phone will run Android 2.2, and will be an upgrade to the Spice Mi 310.

The Spice Mi 410 will sport a 4.1-inch capacitive touchscreen display as against the 3.15 inch of the Mi 310. It will be powered by a Qualcomm 1 GHz Snapdragon processor, while its predecessor has a Qualcomm MSM7227 600 MHz processor. Similarly, the camera has also been upgraded to a solid 5 megapixel from a paltry 2 megapixel.

Connectivity options include 3.5G, HSDPA 7.2Mbps, quad-band, UMTS 2100 MHz, and Wi-Fi, along with Bluetooth 2.1. The phone can work as a Wi-Fi hotspot, supporting up to five connected Wi-Fi devices. USB tethering support allows you to use it as a modem to access the internet when you connect it to your computer or laptop. It also has GPS with AGPS to access location-based services. Since it runs Android 2.2, you can always enhance its productivity by downloading apps from the Android Market. The 1GHz Snapdragon processor makes sure that the apps won't slow down, while the 4.1 inch screen with 480x800 pixel resolution will actually allow the apps to run without slowing down, as is usually the case with comparatively inexpensive Android phones, and also look good.

The Spice Mi 410 will come preloaded with a host of free applications, including one from Indian Railways. It will be available exclusively at Spice Hotspots across the country at Rs.15,000, which is almost twice as expensive as the Mi 310.
